This is an advanced workshop that includes on-location photography inside the reserve forest area of the Western Ghats. This is a Day and night workshop.
This trip has an activity rating of light/moderate. Photographers should be in good health, comfortable walking or standing for extended periods, and prepared for multiple hours of activity on some days. Excursions may include navigating uneven terrain, climbing, traversing thick forests. To capture different variety of flora and fauna, photographers must walk along a path with moderate ascents/descents that can be slippery and muddy in Monsoons. Sturdy footwear with good traction is necessary. Carry a handy, yet sufficiently powerful torchlight to spot subjects and assist in focusing.
- Fill your lens with the beauty of Agumbe Monsoon landscapes, from lovely small streams, waterfalls to lush green forests.
- Hone your wildlife photography skills as you capture the macro world of the beautiful flora & fauna, accompanied by a Naturalist and several photography experts.

Food: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Savor the best of Malnad cuisine (Veg & Non Veg) and hospitality while staying at a wonderful Hingara Homestay.
Accommodation:
This is a basic sharing room’s homestay, close to the forest.
Weather at the Location:
The Western Ghats receives the highest rainfall and in the month of June, July it is the wettest. Its good to be dressed in layers, as in mid afternoons the weather gets warmer inside the forest area. Carry a re-usable water bottle with you to keep yourself hydrated.
Carry a dessicant//uncooked rice to help soak up any moisture from equipment.
Boots are a must, in the region we walk around. Remember the forest is not our place to be, we are just a guest. (Without boots no photowalk). This is also home to hugely biodiverse flora and fauna, many of them undiscovered. Please do not get over-enthusiastic while approaching a subject, it can have serious consequences for you or the animal.
Leaches are in plenty due to the weather condition, so come prepared.
Please follow group decorum, do not wander off alone.
